ABOUT MY NAME

I named my blog Orlando because when our English teacher said to us that the name of her blog was Virginia (in honour of the writer), I remembered two books by Virginia Woolf which I had read and which I liked very much. One of them is Orlando; this is a story about one's own identity. The action takes place during Middle Ages; a noble boy changes his   sex when he falls into a frozen lake. I really think the idea,  about different points of view from  the same person depending on  whether you are a man or a woman,   very original.

The other book I had read was To the lighthouse. The author talks about the relations between the members of a  family while they are spending their long holidays near the sea. I loved this book because of its tempo, it’s similar to the pace of life of summer. Finally, I choose the first title because it is a character’s name.

2 - I like your name. I'd also like to read the books you mentioned. Even thoug, I did not read the book Orlando, I saw the film. It was amazing. I liked that idea of trying to find your own identity and presenting that ambivalence I am so fond of.
